The skin is dark brown when ripe and pulp with rather small blisters of intense red color. The fruits are excellent with all fish preparations, in salad, for desserts and drinks. The plant has a rather slow growth and in pot can reach an height of 140cm. It blooms abundantly in spring, has small leaves and long spines.
