The ovoidal fruit has fine-grained orange-yellow rind and aromatic flesh. It ripens between December and February. The rind is slightly pebbled, while the bright red flesh is juicy and seedless. The fruit holds well on the tree, but is not very resistant to wind. The tree is vigorous, with a rounded but uneven growth habit. It has small, persistent thorns. The pointed leaves are elliptical with no wings, or slight ones in the case of the leaves on vigorous shoots.
