The tree selected in 1977 and resulting from this hybridization is numbered A68. It is vigorous, with slightly drooping habit and large leaves, and is quite susceptible to fruit flies. The good-sized, pear-shaped, orangey-yellow fruit ripens between late October and early November, and is juicy but not very sweet. This variety is widely grown in New Caledonia where the precocious fruit is sweeter than that grown in Corsica."}
