The plant is very vigorous, with few thorns. The elliptic yellow fruits are highly acidic and very juicy. They are medium-large and hold fairly well on the tree after ripening. This variety is popular all over the world due to the high quality of its fruit. The \u201c2KR\u201d refers to a clone derived from the mutation of nucellar tissue selected at the CRA-lstituto Sperimentale per l'Agrumicoltura of Acireale (CT) in 1970.
