The plant reflowers in summer and is larger than the Berna lemon, with bigger leaves and strong thorns on vigorous branches. The oval or roundish fruit has a small, pointed nipple and the pedicle lobe is either very faint or absent. The tight rind is thin to medium thickness and fine grained, and the flesh is very juicy and fairly acidic with seeds (9\u201310 per fruit on average).
