The tree is not especially vigorous, with short internodes, compact rounded appearance, and very slow development, especially in the early years after planting.
\nOn the bitter orange the trunk develops more than the rootstock, while the opposite applies on the Troyer and Carrizo citrange and trifoliate orange. The fruit buds are very widespread on the trunk and branches.
\nThe leaves are medium sized, elliptic, and dark green. The fruit is average weight (150-200g), spherical or ovoid, and ripens in the first ten days of December.
\nThe stalk is firmly attached to the fruit, unlike other pigmented oranges, enabling it to hold well on the tree past the month of February.
\nIt is almost seedless, with pebbled rind that is orange in colour with brighter wine-red streaks on one side of the fruit. The flesh is a dark wine-red, with a fairly sour flavour.<\/p>\n
