The Orri Clementine has already a rather long history. This citrus fruit comes from Israel and its classification began in 1989 at the Volcani Centre, an organization for Israelian agricultural research. The extensive research conducted by important citrus and botanical growers has managed to develop a late Mandarin cultivar, easily peelable, seedless and with a decent shelf-life, and also quite resistant to the Alternaria. The fruits are produced and grown exclusively in Israel, where they ripen from January to May thanks to the favorable microclimate.
