Famiglia: Clementini – Citrus Clementina
Nome botanico in latino: C. clementina “Tardivo”
Disponibile mezzo fusto o cespuglio
Vaso di diametro 20 o 22 cm
This is a bud mutation of the common clementine which originated both in Sicily and in the Tintori plant centre, which is always attentive to new mutations, especially those which bring about varieties with fruit that holds well on the tree for an extended period.
It is a good, vigorous cultivar with assurgent habit and dense foliage. The average sized, dark green leaves are lanceolate with pointed tip. The white, largeish flowers grow singly or in clusters, mainly in spring. The fruit is medium sized, spherical with flattened ends, and bright orange in colour. The flesh is juicy with few or no seeds. The fruit ripens in January-February, but stays on the tree until late spring. This cultivar is a very popular ornamental plant.
